I don’t normally post up petitions but this one is close to home........

There are certain countries whose driving ‘standards’ are well known to be at best abysmal and at worst non-existent. Those who hold licences to drive in the names of these countries should NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE UNSUPERVISED ANYWHERE IN GT. BRITAIN AND IRELAND. They are a danger to everyone but themselves usually.

The UK driving standard test is quite possibly one of the most stringent on the planet. And rightly so. It should remain that way.

I vividly remember the day I passed my test nearly 50 years ago. I got back in the car with my driving instructor who said to me ‘’That piece of paper only allows you to drive on a road by yourself. NOW you start learning how to drive’‘

And as I told the Fuhrer when she came home cock-a-hoop that she had passed her test: ‘’Never forget that you are behind the wheel of a lethal weapon’‘
